Pitch & creative work

Give your pitch a date you can verify.

Record your deck before you share it. If someone else presents your ideas later, you have dated evidence of what was in your pitch.

What a match supports

This exact pitch file existed by this date.

How that helps your case

If someone says you created the deck after seeing theirs, an earlier record helps answer that claim. A reviewer can check the retained file and use its date alongside your drafts and sharing history.

What it doesn’t establish

It does not prove who created or owns the work, who received it, or whether it was copied. It is not a patent filing or copyright registration, and it cannot guarantee a dispute outcome. It still gives you strong, checkable evidence that your exact deck existed by the recorded date, helping support your timeline in a dispute.

Record it. Keep it. Show it.

  1. Record before you send

Record the final PDF you plan to send, before sending it. If you revise the pitch, record the new version and keep both.

  2. Keep the deck and proof

Download the receipt and included proof PDF when the record is complete. Back them up with the exact deck you recorded.

  3. Show the earlier version

Share the recorded deck and proof PDF with your adviser or reviewer. Anyone can use free Verify to check for a matching record, without an account.

Keep the rest of the story, too.

Keep drafts, source files, notes and emails showing who received which version and when. They help explain how the work developed and how it was shared.

You can record one ZIP containing your deck, drafts and supporting documents. Keep that exact ZIP: its proof verifies the archive, not individual extracted files.
